Traveling to Latvia

Getting to Riga

By Air

Riga Airport is located less than 10 km from the city center and is served by several airlines including airBaltic, Finnair, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Ryanair, Wizz Air, and Turkish Airlines. See the full list at https://www.riga-airport.com/en/airline-contacts.

The airport is served by bus route no. 22, see the bus schedule. A trip from the airport to the center of the city takes approximately 20-30 minutes. See the Local Transportation page for information about bus tickets. In addition, bus route no. 22 is the only route where a ticket can be bought from the driver using a payment card only and it has a higher cost of €2 (instead of €1.5) when buying from the driver.

If you are planning to use a taxi, see https://www.riga-airport.com/en/taxi-service for more information. Taxi rides take approximately 20 minutes to get to the city center depending on traffic. Taxi to the city center can cost around €20-30.

By Bus

There are few bus service companies with routes to and from other countries in Europe. For example, https://ecolines.net/international/en, https://www.flixbus.com/, and https://luxexpress.eu/en/. See their web pages for exact routes.
