COVID Safety Information

Traveling to Mexico

Travelers are not required to take a COVID test prior to entering Mexico or to quarantine upon arrival. However, those entering will be required to complete a health survey upon arrival.

If you show symptoms of COVID upon arrival, you should ask for the International Health Team (“Sanidad Internacional”).

If you have flight connections through countries other than Mexico you may also have to comply with the Covid requirements of that country. For example, if you have a connection through the U.S. you will be required to show a negative COVID viral test taken no more than one day before your first flight departs.

Covid Restrictions within Guadalajara

Masks are not required in most places, however, you will still need one for riding public transit or if visiting a medical center. Proof of vaccination is also not required to enter most businesses throughout the city, but we recommend keeping a copy or photo of your vaccination proof with you to be safe.

Where to get a COVID Test

There are a lot of options to get a COVID test in the city. You can find prices from 15 USD up to 50 USD, being both of them basically the same test.

The cheapest option is a testing labs franchise called "Salud Digna". There are several around the city.

The most expensive options, but the one with the best reputation and service, are "Unidad de patología clínica".
