Description
Evolution-data-server is one of GNOME's old pieces of infrastructure that has been chugging along in the basement thanks to the efforts of a few people. This talk is about updating e-d-s's build infrastructure and exploring its relationship to Flatpak apps.
We'll also have some nostalgia, as the speaker is one of the original authors of e-d-s's calendar component. Nostalgia and furry mammals.
Author(s) Bio
Federico worked on the original version of evolution-data-server exactly 26 years ago, when Evolution was being developed at Ximian (née Helix Code). He went to work on other projects after that, and learned about how many things we got wrong and right initially. Currently he maintains librsvg and helps with old projects here and there.
