Places to eat in A Coruña

The best quality/price option to have lunch on Monday to Friday is menu del día (daily menu). It includes two dishes, a drink, a coffee and a dessert and it costs 10-16 euros, depending on the quality and the location.

There are a couple traditional local dishes you shouldn't leave without trying.

  • Raxo: Dish that consists of pieces of pork and is usually served with fries.

  • Spanish omelette: Here, omelette is usually cooked on Betanzos-style. It's known for being oozy inside while the outside is cooked. If you prefer the "Spanish classical style" you should specify it.

  • Pulpo á feira: Galician-style octopus, with paprika and boiled potatoes.

Near the venue

There are not many places to eat near the venue, as the faculty is quite far from the city centre. However, you will have an affordable closed-price menu in the venue (in the faculty cafeteria).

In the city

  • Raxaría As Neves: Famous traditional place to have raxo and omelette. There are closed-menu options for over 10 people. It's advisable to book in advance.

  • La Bombilla: Cheap place to have tapas (small dishes that people usually have before lunch).

  • Restaurante O Fado: This restaurant is famous because of its seafood and rices. If you eat here, you must try the empanada. Here it's also highly advisable to book in advance.

  • Pulpeira María Pita: Nice place in the Maria Pita Square to have octopus. Please, note octopus is a expensive dish (about 25 euros).
