Getting Around A Coruña

A Coruña is a highly walkable city, you will get around easily by walking if you don't mind the ocassional hill. Here are your main options:

Buses

  • Operator: Compañía de Tranvías de La Coruña (visit itranvias.com to get real-time information on the network).
  • Coverage: Great coverage throughout the city.
  • Frequency: every 15-30 minutes (5-10' frequencies on the university line)
  • Night service: None. Service ends at 22:30
  • Tickets:
    • 1,30€ when paying with cash
    • Debit/Credit card payments are not allowed
    • 0,45 when paying with a transit card or with the app App Coruña 

Bike sharing (Bicicoruña)

  • Public Bike Rental System with coverage all over the city
  • For 10€ you can get an occasional subscription for a month, it costs 0,015€ to 0,03€ each minute of bike riding

  • No stations on campus. The closest one is 10-15' by foot (500m)
