Building native applications for the GNOME ecosystem has never been easier, yet starting from a blank editor can be intimidating. This talk guides attendees step-by-step through the process of building a modern GNOME application from the ground up using GTK4, Libadwaita, and Flatpak.

Felipe maintains GNOME Settings in his day job at Red Hat and moonlights developing GNOME Boxes. He has been involved with GNOME for over a decade and is passionate about community sustainability and building a desktop that is accessible to everyone.
Talk Description
We will cover setting up the development environment, structuring the user interface with Libadwaita's modern widget suite, integrating application logic, and packaging the final product into a redistributable Flatpak.
