GETTING TO MALAYSIA
The main international gateway is Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), located approximately 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur. Other major international airports include Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Langkawi. Malaysia is served by more than 40 international airlines, including Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia. Entry by sea is available through Melaka, Johor and many international ports mostly on west coast, while land access is possible from Singapore and Thailand.
TRAVELLING TO KUALA TERENGGANU
Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu is located on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, approximately 440 km from Kuala Lumpur.
By Air (Recommended)
- Direct flights are available daily from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and Subang Airport (SZB) to Sultan Mahmud Airport (TGG).
- Flight time: approximately 55 minutes – 1 hour.
- Sultan Mahmud Airport is about 15–20 minutes from Kuala Terengganu city centre and the event venue area.
By Express Bus
- Direct buses depart from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu Bus Terminal.
- TBS is accessable easily from the airport (KLIA 1&2) via KLIA Transit. You need to buy ticket from the airport to 'Bandar Tasik Selatan' station.
- Journey time: approximately 6–8 hours.
- Budget-friendly option with frequent departures throughout the day and overnight services available.

By Car Drive
- via the East Coast Expressway (LPT1 & LPT2).
- Journey time: approximately 4.5–5 hours, depending on traffic and weather conditions.
- The route offers scenic views and convenient rest stops along the way.
IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS
Visa requirements by Country
Many nationalities enjoy short-term social or business stays without a visa (ranging from 14 to 90 days depending on nationality).

Note:
- For countries marked as (*) are allowed to enter Malaysia by air only.
- India** citizen: visa exempts until 31st December 2026.
- ***Afghanistan nationals who wish to enter Malaysia for social visit purposes must obtain a visa approval letter before applying for a VTR.
- Drug trafficking is a serious offence in Malaysia and carries severe penalties. Visitors are required to declare large amounts of foreign currency upon arrival or departure.

MALAYSIA DIGITAL ARRIVAL CARD (MDAC)
All foreign nationals entering Malaysia are required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within three (3) days prior to their arrival in Malaysia. Upon arrival, visitor are required to present their passport for immigration clearance. The MDAC registration should be completed before departure to facilitate the immigration process.

IMMIGRATION CLEARANCE (AUTOGATE)
Eligible foreign travellers arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) may utilize the Malaysia Immigration Autogate facilities, subject to the eligibility requirements set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia. Travellers who are not eligible to use the Autogate should proceed to the manned immigration counters for immigration clearance. CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
Under the provisions of the Customs Act 1967 (Amendment) 2019 and the Customs Regulations 2019, all travellers entering or leaving Malaysia are required to declare any taxable goods, prohibited or restricted items, cash, and negotiable monetary instruments (NMIs) in their possession, whether carried personally or contained in their baggage.
Failure to declare such items or making a false declaration constitutes an offence under the Customs Act 1967 and may result in enforcement action by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
