REMINDER: Wearing a face mask on public transportation is compulsory

Airport to Accommodation

The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is located 45 kilometers south of Kuala Lumpur city center or 60 kilometers south of Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (Venue).

  • KLIA Express is the best way to commute from the airport to right into the city center at KL Sentral station. From there you need to transit to MyRapid LRT/MRT services to reach Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (TTDI) MRT Station.
  • You may need to purchase a KLIA Express ticket before getting into the station (https://www.kliaekspres.com/products-fares/klia-transit/#transit_standard_tickets)
  • Other services such as buses and taxis are also available.

Accommodation to Venue

The venue is between 8-40 minutes away from many of our recommended hotels, depending on your choice of accommodation and transportation.

  • The closest train station is MRT TTDI Station (Station No.10, MRT Kajang Line); 5 minutes walking distance from the venue (https://goo.gl/maps/9rLmP2UDa9U5K5YE6).
  • E-Hailing apps are also available.
  • Walk: there are many hotels on our list that have an 8-20 min walking distance from the venue.

Moving around the City

Train

The best way to commute around Kuala Lumpur is the train as most attractions are located nearby. There are 4 types of trains available:

  1. LRT (MyRapid) - Ampang Line, Sri Petaling Line & Kelana Jaya Line
  2. MRT (MyRapid) - Kajang Line & Putrajaya Line
  3. Monorail (MyRapid)
  4. Commuter Line (KTM Komuter)
  • For MyRapid services, you only need to use 1 token for transit from point A to point B without needing to repurchase when transferring lines or trains.
  • KTM Komuter is a good way to commute outside of Kuala Lumpur depending on your destination (some locations are closer to their stations).
  • The last train is around 11 pm at the main city center stations.
  • To make things easy, get a Touch N' Go card. This card allows easy access to all bus and train services.
  • Use the MyRapid PULSE app to plan your journey.

Bus & Taxis

Some locations need to use additional services to reach the destination and usually, buses and taxis are available at the train stations.

  • At some locations, you'll need to use the BRT line. This is only in limited locations such as Sunway Lagoon (https://myrapid.com.my/bus-train/rapid-kl/brt/).
  • To make things easy, get a Touch N' Go card. This card allows easy access to all bus and train services.
  • Use the MyRapid PULSE app to plan your journey.

For transit buses from the airport, you may need to get a ticket from the ticket counter at the terminal or by using the Red Bus app (https://www.redbus.my/).

  • There are 2 drop-off locations, but we recommend you stop at KL Sentral.
  • Make sure your pick-up location is the same as where you land; either KLIA 1 (Main International Terminal) or KLIA 2 (Low-Cost Terminal).
