This talk addresses a critical challenge for GNOME and the broader Asian open source ecosystem: bridging the gap between excellent technology and the users who need it across Asia's diverse markets. Using successful GNOME campaigns and other Asian open source projects as examples, we demonstrate quick content strategies that work across languages and cultures, smart platform choices for different Asian markets, and sustainable engagement tactics that respect local communication preferences.
