Guix is a dependable, hackable system manager that supports transactional upgrades and roll-backs, unprivileged package management, and more. Packaging a GTK app for Guix makes it easy to install anywhere. Guix also has a number of helpers that make packaging GTK apps easy.
In this hands-on workshop we will look at a number of existing package descriptions for GTK apps in Guix, then create a new package in real-time. (At the pace of a live demo but with each part pre-recorded.) Participants will leave this session with all the tools they need to package their own apps and help other projects.
